It looks, it is only possible to do a Reinstall of OS X System files “Only” (without erasing third party Apps and user data) if using Wi-Fi + Apple credentials. I already created an OS X Bootable Disk, but it looks it is Not Possible to Reinstall OS X System Files Only (without Erasing everything on my Mac’s Hard Drive – Prior Installation. The problem is, I will have to wait for the whole 4 GB Lion Installer to be downloaded Again, if I want to Reinstall Lion’s System Files (OS X) so it can replace corrupted or deleted OS X Files (without erasing third party Apps or user data) Lion Installer supposedly let you Reinstall the System Files (Mac OS X) without Erasing your Hard Drive, while maintaining intact your third party Apps and user data, but the problem seems to be that Reinstalling involves the following A) you must have handy your Network Name + Password (because it seems to be that Reinstalling (without erasing data) it is Only Possible while using a Wi-Fi connection, and B) you must also provide your Apple ID User Name + Password at some point of the process. Hello: I think some of my Mac’s System files (Lion Installation) may have been corrupted or accidentally deleted through time, and I would like to Reinstall Lion, but would like to preserve my current applications and data (pictures, music, docs, and so on) – So I don’t have to reinstall all my Apps, and preserve my files.
